Dr. Reed is the Manager of the Fish Health Team at all three laboratories in the state. She received her DVM degree from UC Davis with an emphasis on aquatic medicine and is internationally certified as an Aquatic Veterinarian. She studied herpes viruses in fish at Oregon State University where she received a Ph.D. in Microbiology. After completing the exam, she was elected to membership as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Microbiologists. As the Fish Health Manager, she provides guidance to her expert teams of fish pathologists as well as administrative support for the program. Her interests lie in improving diagnostics for fish pathogens and alternative therapeutic avenues for disease management.
